Food has a remarkable way of bringing people together around a table, across cultures, and through shared memories. It sparks conversations, shares traditions, and helps us learn from one another.
This is the idea behind CHARM-EAT: every dish has a story.
Through this project, we would like to create a digital recipe book developed by and for the CHARM-EU community: students, alumni, staff and anyone involved in the alliance.
What is CHARM-EAT?
CHARM-EAT is a collection of recipes shared by members of the CHARM-EU community. Each recipe will be accompanied by the story behind the dish and a short introduction to its contributor.
Together, these recipes will showcase the rich cultural diversity, creativity, and values that make CHARM-EU unique.
We need you!
Every recipe carries a memory, a place, a person, or a moment. We warmly invite you to contribute a recipe that is meaningful to you.
It could be a family favourite, a traditional dish from your home country, a sustainable everyday meal, or a recipe connected to your CHARM-EU experience abroad.
Alongside the recipe, we would love to include a short personal introduction and the story behind the dish. Who first made this dish for you? When do you usually prepare it? Does it remind you of home, a celebration, a journey, or someone special? Is it a family recipe, or a traditional dish that has been prepared in the same way for generations?
The recipe book is planned as a free online PDF, with the first edition scheduled for publication in December 2026. It may also lead to a printed version at a later stage.
Your submission
To help you prepare your contribution, an example recipe is attached. Please note that this example is provided for guidance only and does not reflect the final design of the recipe book.

Please make sure that the recipe you submit is personal to you and not copied from a website. If the recipe was shared with you by someone else, please check that they agree for you to share it with us.
