At the end of the course students have learned about individual differences regarding the extent to which refugees suffer from post-traumatic stress, and different behavioural problems. Issues affecting children of refugees that can impede their development are included. They can identify actors influencing levels of distress like demographic variables, cumulative traumatic experiences, and post-migration stressors will be discussed, as well as means for alleviating symptoms.
