The 2022 edition of the very exciting Water4Future Hackathon organized by UNESCO was held last 18-19 February in Montpellier. Building on the success of previous editions, the event attracted again many students taking on the challenge of the Hackathon.
W4F 2022 in a nutshell
The W4F Hackathon brings together students from all around the world gathering them in transdisciplinary teams guided by international experts. These teams then have 36 hours to develop a project or initiative addressing a specific challenge they identified in relation with the main theme of the event. This 2022 edition focused on “Water and risks” and gathered 230 students from 11 different countries, resulting in 40 teams facing each other in a competitive but yet very friendly and collaborative atmosphere.
CHARM-EU back at it!
After a very successful 2021 edition that saw the CHARM-EU team deliver its beautiful “the tree of life” project, awarded the Jury’s favourite prize, CHARM-EU renewed its participation in the Hackathon with a team composed of CHARM-EU students currently engaged in the Water track of phase 2 of the CHARM-EU Master’s in Global Sustainability. They brilliantly met the challenge and carried high the CHARM-EU colours.
CHARM-EU is delighted to once again being associated with this intercultural, international and challenge-based experience building around transdisciplinarity and towards sustainability. A perfect embodiment of the CHARM-EU pedagogical model.
