Transnational learning and mobility
Learning has no borders. With CHARM-EU, you can access a dynamic learning ecosystem that transcends geographical borders.
Mobility in CHARM-EU means physical and virtual mobility. It erases geographical boundaries, empowering students to engage in collaborative learning experiences regardless of their physical location. Through digital and physical collaboration, we will foster a vibrant global community driven by curiosity, innovation and cultural exchange.
Transnational online learning opportunities
As a student at a CHARM-EU university, you can access our online courses for free. Designed for Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral students, you can access our courses without leaving your home campus and:

If you are planning to request recognition in your current university/programme, you can consult their credit recognition policy with the people responsible of your programme.

Staff Mobility
You want to build relations with your partner university in the CHARM-EU Alliance? Here is how to go about it.
CHARM-EU wants to make collaboration through staff mobility within the alliance as easy as possible. If you already have working relationships with your partner institution, there is no need to channel your communication through the CHARM-EU offices.
If you already know a colleague from the partner institution personally or you have the right contact information: Please get in touch with your colleague directly and arrange the plans and the administration of the staff mobility according to your own plans.
If you do not yet have a personal contact, but have a specific person or unit in mind, which you would like to contact:
- Feel free to use the contact information available on each university’s website to get in touch with your colleagues directly.
If you do not yet have a contact at the CHARM-partner institution, but are interested in a particular school, department, unit, research project at the partner university, or your first attempts at establishing contacts were unsuccessful:
- CHARM-EU offers you assistance in establishing contacts. For this purpose, please fill in the form „Expression of Interest in staff mobility“ and give as much information as possible on yourself, the intention of your visit and the proposed collaboration.
- Send this form to the CHARM-Manager at your institution or to your International/ERASMUS Office, dealing with staff mobility. They will send it to their contacts at the CHARM-partner institution who will in turn forward it to the appropriate person or unit in their university.
While the CHARM- and Erasmus-offices will do their best to support your interest and request, they can not guarantee that a strong contact or staff visit will materialise out of your initiative. But through passing your request through the CHARM-channels, your potential partner will be made aware of your membership in this particular alliance, endorsing it with the quality label it represents.
Please also note:
If you want to go on a teaching or training visit or invite your colleague from abroad to visit you, please check with your International or Erasmus Office about the possibilities the Erasmus+ programme offers.
Other mobility opportunities - EXPLORE#7 (University of Montpellier)
EXPLORE#7
As part of the I-SITE Excellence Program (P.E.I), the University of Montpellier is pleased to announce EXPLORE#7 launching, the seventh edition of the support for international mobility call for projects.
This call for projects provides three distinct schemes:
- Support for incoming or outgoing individual mobility stays for the exploration of new international collaboration projects by : professors, researchers, research professors, PhD students, engineers, technicians or administrative staff;
- Support for outgoing collective mobility stays to develop new international collaborations (pedagogical, academic and/or scientific) by : professors, researchers, research professors, PhD students, engineers, technicians or administrative staff from various P.E.I institutions; such projects may involve students;
- Support for incoming individual mobility stays of Master students for research internships to enable the development of new strategic collaborations.
The aim of this call for projects is to encourage international collaborations, enhance the attractiveness and visibility of the Montpellier site, and contribute to new initiatives. Within the framework given above, any project exploring new international collaborations, or extending existing collaborations towards new actions, and presenting a clear added value for the P.E.I. may be considered for funding. Scheme 1 may be really interesting for your colleagues to fund their mobility to come to UM and exchange or build new potential projects in the framework of CHARM. Scheme 3 is also a very good way to build new research projects, it could impulse collaboration between labs and initiate new doctorates or research projects.
