This conference aims to analyse the main political and strategic orientations of the future Erasmus+ 2028–2034 program in the field of higher education, as well as to open a space for reflection on the challenges and opportunities posed by the new European framework. In this context, the future of the European Universities Alliances will be discussed in particular, focusing on their governance, sustainability, institutional impact and fit into university strategies, and the evolution towards a possible joint European degree.
The session also aims to identify opportunities and risks for the Catalan university system, while also gathering contributions from the entire academic community to contribute to the definition of the positions of the Generalitat de Catalunya in relation to the future of Erasmus+ and European higher education policies.
