This deliverable presents the results of two years of work on mapping the current IT-set up in CHARM and discussing our joint future vision with the main stakeholder groups. It enables us to enter the next phase of the project with a well-supported outline of CHARM-EU’s IT architecture vision that will optimally support our educational mission while addressing the complexities of a transnational IT ecosystem.

Looking ahead, the team developed different potential visions on how the capabilities could best be supported and how CHARM partner institutions could distribute the work in this respect. The recommendation that concludes this deliverable is that we should adopt a “Hybrid” Architecture Scenario. Whenever a specific decision in relation to IT Architecture needs to be taken, we need to balance the strife for interoperability with the unique requirements of each partner institution to find a fit-for-purpose solution in the specific context.

The document concludes with a blueprint of the IT architecture as we envisage it for the CHARM IT-ecosystem for the upcoming years.
