The CHARM-EU Days 2024, themed “Bridging Cultures, Embracing Diversity,” brought together over 900 participants, with 1,629 total attendances across more than 40 activities hosted in Budapest and partner universities. The event combined the Annual Conference and the first CHARM-EU Cultural Festival, creating a dynamic space for exchange and intercultural engagement.
The Annual Conference offered a platform for stakeholders to discuss interculturality in higher education, while the Cultural Festival delivered interactive experiences celebrating cultural diversity. The event also reached 92K people across social media platforms.
Building on these achievements, WP16 Communication and Dissemination developed a comprehensive white paper capturing best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for future intercultural events. This resource is designed to support not only CHARM-EU but also other European University alliances.
The toolkit also features the Intercultural Communication Course – Short Module, an open-access online course designed to support intercultural skills development for over 10,000 annual mobility students across partner universities. A dedicated communication campaign ensures its wide dissemination.
In addition, the toolkit highlights ongoing content and initiatives promoting interculturality, including articles, a podcast, and future communication actions. A key component is the Intercultural Hub, a centralised platform on the CHARM-EU website providing access to courses, language resources, and exchange opportunities offered by partner institutions.
Together, these resources reinforce interculturality as a core CHARM-EU value and provide practical tools to enhance inclusion, mobility, and collaboration across the alliance.
