The last CHARM-EU podcast episode explores how do researchers can become entrepreneurs and the different pathways of academic spin-off creation as a way to valorise the results of public scientific research.
We wish to show our talented researchers that creating an academic spin off as a way to valorise their research results and bring them to the market in order to have a real impact and participate to societal change is possible. In order to better explain this incredible endeavour, we brought to this episode, Dr. Xavier Garric, researcher from the University of Montpellier, Dr. Isabel Trillas and Dr. Meritxell Teixidó, both from the University of Barcelona. Through their stories, we want to inspire other researchers who have an entrepreneurial mindset and wish to valorise their promising research.
This episode is framed under an analysis conducted by the CHARM-EU R&I dimension, TORCH which highlights the strategies and best practices implemented by universities to collaborate with non-academic actors, and especially enterprises, for research collaboration and how they operate to detect innovation emerging from their research teams.
