The Center for Structural Biology (CBS) CBS), is research unit dedicated to fundamental and multidisciplinary
research in the fields of structural biology, biophysics, and bioengineering
The goal of the project is to develop a selective Cyclophilin A (CypA) inhibitor as well as a CypA PROTAC
(Proteolysis Targeting Chimera). These tools will be used to investigate the mechanism by which CypA
contributes to R NA cloaking in coronaviruses.

Internship activities will include:
• Production (E.Coli) and purification of recombinant proteins (on AKTA ® system)
• Binding affinity studies using Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and Thermal Shift Assay
(TSA), and FRET (Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer)
• Potential participation in additional biophysical or structural characterization techniques

This internship will offer the opportunity to work in a highly
interdisciplinary environment and to gain hands on experience. CBS is an international and highly stimulating laboratory , with weekly scientific seminars and multidisciplinary teams.
