That’s the essence of a regenerative economy. It’s not just about maintaining the balance; it’s about enhancing it, healing and rejuvenating our environment and communities. This concept takes sustainability and circularity to a new level, focusing on restoration and innovation in how we live and work.

If you’re curious about the myriad opportunities that radical new business ideas can offer the Regenerative Economy and would like to collaborate with like-minded radicals, we would like to invite you to join us for an Regenerative Economy Innovation Challenge with a view to creating potentially viable business propositions that could help set us on a new course towards rehabilitating the world that we live in. This challenge aims to develop entrepreneurial ambition and capabilities, focusing on disrupting our current economic systems. It forms one part of Trinity College’s activities in the Erasmus+ ‘Re:Genu’ project.

The proposed structure and timeline for the Challenge is as follows:

Thursday 11th April, 2024, online

6:00 PM – 7:10 PM: Registration & Overview of the 6-Step Approach

Introduction to the methodologies guiding the workshops (Design Thinking, Lean Canvas, Pitching) and the developed Tools. This session outlines what participants can expect and how these approaches will help them develop impactful solutions. We will socialise broad commercial theatres within which we would like participants to create a prototype business e.g. the commercial rehabilitation of unloved urban space / city quarter or a radical new approach to livestock management etc.

7:10 PM – 7:40 PM: Team Formation and Networking

Facilitated session for participants to form teams based on shared ideas, interests and complementary skills. This time also allows for informal networking, helping participants to start building connections with potential team members, mentors, and organizers.

7:40 PM – 8:00 PM: Closing and Next Steps

Saturday, 20th April, 2024, in person in Trinity College Dublin

09:30AM – 5:00PM: Innovation Challenge Workshop Collaboration
