Are you interested in participating in an international network which connects you with the future of higher education, meeting the needs of students, business and society? If so, join our CHARM-EU transdisciplinary and intercultural community for an opportunity to boost cooperation between education, research, innovation, and business & society to build a sustainable and greener future!
The CHARM-EU Knowledge Creating Teams (KCTs) are a collaboration between the CHARM-European University Initiative and external stakeholders. These groups of academics, researchers and extra-academic actors are formed around a common expertise or interest related to a sustainability theme. They bring multiple disciplines together to face global challenges and are organised not by discipline, research or educational activity but by key themes that bridge all these activities. Three themes were chosen for CHARM-EU’s first pilot masters programme: Life & Health, Water, and Food.
KCTs will help us design and deliver innovative, transdisciplinary modules and programmes, form transdisciplinary research networks, potentially raise funding and lead commercialisation projects, and develop a shared thematic, inter-European research community.
As a member of our international community you will have opportunity to work together within broad societal challenges and mobilise to take action in a number of activities such as: research & innovation; teaching & learning and curriculum design; entrepreneurship & service to society; professional development activities; and co-production of international outputs.
There are two levels of KCT membership: Core and Expanded Network.
The creation of the KCTs is aligned with the vision of the European Education Area (European Commission, 2020), which emphasizes how cooperation can further enrich the quality, the inclusiveness, and the digital and green dimension of Member State education systems. This line of thought makes the development of a wide-reaching collaborative culture crucial to reconcile humanity with the planet by tackling complex global and societal challenges such as those described in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal.
