Website accessibility

The CHARM-EU website has been designed to be accessible to all visitors.

This has been achieved in compliance with W3C standards and the Web Accessibility Directive (EU) 2016/2102, in force since 22 December 2016.

Navigation aids

All pages contain a link to the home page Menu is consistent and all pages on the website include a search box.

Images

All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes. Purely decorative graphics include null ALT attributes.

Video

All videos are streamed using YouTube and include subtitles and captions.
The Youtube player is compatible with screen readers.

Visual design

The site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout.
If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.
An alternative colour contrast version is available by using the control located in left corner of the screen.

Responsive Design

It will change and adapt the layout for different screen sizes such as those found on tablet and mobile.

Fonts

This site uses relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified “text size” option in visual browsers.
The font size can also be increased using the control above the search box on all pages.
Fonts sizes and colour have been carefully chosen to meet recommended sizing standards and contrast with background.
