During a webinar on the European Universities Initiative organised by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB), Ferenc Takó, Head of the ELTE CHARM-EU Office, stressed the lessons learned from the pioneering master’s programme “Global Challenges of Sustainability”.
Last 9 March 2022, the Hungarian Higher Education Accreditation Committee (MAB) organised an online event to address the European University alliance’s quality assurance challenges and development. During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and views on the accreditation processes of the European University Alliances joint programmes.
Ferenc Takó presented the alliance’s innovative master’s programme and highlighted its unique assets such as the transdisciplinary methodological approach and the process to achieve a joint international accreditation.
The event brought together representatives of ministries and universities, Hungarian and international partner organisations, and the quality assurance agencies ENQA and CEENQA (Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies). It also included presentations on the European Approach for Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes, and the results of the ImpEA and EUniQ projects.
The webinar provided an in-depth discussion on the challenges of quality assurance of the joint programmes in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), harmonisation with the national frameworks, and cross-border quality assurance.
