Digital Badges for Professional Development
CHARM-EU aims to recognize, validate and reward professional development activities through digital badges. We are currently piloting digital badges to provide recognition for of CHARM-EU non-ECTS educational activities targeted at professional and CHARM-EU staff learners.
What is a digital badge, and how is it used?
A digital badge represents a digital certificate verifying and listing the skills gained during an educational activity. Badges can be used to show lifelong learning achievements and share on platforms such as LinkedIn, or digital wallets.
Why are CHARM-EU using digital badges?
In CHARM-EU we are using digital badges for recognizing and validating skills, facilitating sharing of these skills online, and supporting career advancement. We are piloting the Edubadge platform for issuing digital badges for non-ECTS professional development activities.
