DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, 22 October 2024\, The League of European Research Universities (LERU) will present its paper entitled ‘Communicating with integrity – supporting researchers with best practice in communication’\, during an online launch event. We kindly invite you to join us. \nCommunicating research findings is a central part of the mission of researchers and research institutions. Such communication can only truly be effective if research communications are trusted. Such trust can be impacted by poor quality science communication\, including a lack of openness\, over-hyping findings or failure to communicate uncertainty. And what can researchers do to ensure that their communications cover relevant points for communicating with integrity? DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nThe CHARM-DEN International Pitches\, scheduled for 21st October 2024 from 16h to 18h UTC+2\, will serve as a dynamic platform where innovation meets opportunity. This online event will bring together diverse teams from across the CHARM-EU alliance\, including student-led projects and established startups. The focus of the event is sustainability\, with participants developing solutions that tackle pressing global challenges such as environmental protection\, social equity\, and sustainable economic growth. The competition is split into two strands: one for early-stage ideas and another for more mature startups with prototypes. Each team will deliver a 5-minute video pitch showcasing their innovative concepts\, followed by a live Q&A with an international panel of expert judges. Each competition strand will award a prize to the top-performing team.

The new report revisits recommendations\, considers where progress has been made and where further changes are recommended. Members of the Horizon Europe SHAPE-ID project\, led by Professor Jane Ohlmeyer\, contributed to the new report. \nThis town hall\, organised by Trinity Research and the Trinity Long Room Hub\, is an occasion for members of the Trinity community to reflect on where Trinity has been successful in encouraging and supporting inter- and transdisciplinarity in research and education and consider where we can and should aim to improve. DESCRIPTION:About the conference \nIt has been 3 years since the kick-off of the European Universities initiative. During this period\, CHARM-EU has overcome challenges like the process towards a common accreditation process and boundaries as the pandemic situation.
